So... Yes. This was the highly anticipated pair of shorts. The one that I fought a 10min battle for, and won ;) Heh. I got it in the mail today! Must say they are (relatively) quite efficient in settling payments and mailing. It came in the the tiniest envelope ever and was really flat!
Grabbed the envelope as I was leaving home, cause I was too excited to see it and try it on (even if it meant trying it on outside). My friend requested I do the review today, so okay sure why not. I already put it on anyway! Was intending to let it go if it didn't fit, since the biggest size was an M. Luckily, it fits perfectly with some allowance!
It comes with 2 cutest buttons covered with the same fabric so that it would blend in with the prints and a short front zip. Not recommended for sizes above UK10. Meant to be worn mid-waist, so I tucked in the top anyway. But I think it looks fine with the top tucked out too. The print is the biggest selling point of this pair of shorts. Rich warm yellows/beiges & reds over a navy base. Very ethical, oriental... too pretty for words. I chose navy over black because I thought the red yellow blue triad works best together. (red yellow black = german colours. haha, not that I have anything against germany)
Material is of thin cotton. If I don't tuck in my top properly, there would be unsightly and easily mistakable (for tummy folds) bulges. I did see The White Alley sell this in black, but I haven't seen it anywhere else.
