Okay, all the serious talk is over. Now, back to food.
Since we're in the holiday period, I can go out with my friends! I love meeting up with my friends. In medical school, everyone is so busy even though we're from the same class. We attend the same lectures, have relatively the same schedules.. but still we're too busy to meet up. I have a foodie bunch of friends and we're always on the lookout for cafes and restaurants to try! (I'm lagging behind because all of them seem to have tried like everything...)
This time we went to Five & Dime! I was sooooo excited after I saw Mentaiko Pasta on the menu. I was sold at those 2 words. Five & Dime is tucked along River Valley and has its own carpark where patrons can park FOC. Except... if the carpark is full, it can be a nightmare reversing in and out to let people exit while accomodating more cars coming in.
There's a level 1 and level 2, somehow for our booking at 1230, we were allocated the bottom level. Both areas are pretty small, so be sure to make a booking before your arrival. The feel of the cafe is quite cosy, and it gives a bustling atmosphere (maybe cause it's so small and easily filled up).
Food was good. Well, at least mine was. And the pancakes, oh the pancakes, so fluffy. Try the mentaiko pasta!! At least for the brunch menu!
