Shall start blogging about some of my personal life too after getting some requests on FS :)
After weeks (or rather, months) of preparation, training, drilling and rehearsals... today was the day. Playhouse 2012, where every batch puts up a production of about 60min. Basically, it's an intra-fac competition in Medicine. Our play was titled: Burke & Hare (inspired by a true story).
A rough outline: Set in 1859, Edinburgh. A renowned anatomy prof driven mad by revenge cause his 1st wife was killed by the demon barber. He goes around at night killing people to use their bodies as cadavers for research/study. A 1st year med student arrives at the school, and eventually falls in love with the prof's wife. Prof's wife gets angry after being always neglected for work and she decides to elope with the med student. Just that night, mad prof finds a woman all alone (his wife was waiting for the med student to grab a carriage) and kills her. He brings her back to the lab and realises it's his wife whom he killed. The med student returns and somehow finds his way to the lab to discover the prof's wife's body.... And both prof and student commit suicide (separately of course). THE END.
I danced for the first 2 minutes of the play.. and watched the rest. Should have joined the ensemble! Heh.
Anyway, here are some pics! I have never been part of a production and I had a great time being part of the amazing M2 cast & crew. (Y) to us for Best Sets, Costumes & Make-up and Ensemble.
Great, great times and wonderful friendships made. Thanks to my friends who came down to support and for all the flowers & gifts!
